The Council's positive and committed team brings together a wide range of expertise and backgrounds, unified in our shared passion for community and inclusiveness. Our team consists of full time staff, casual staff and contractors, who work together to carry out the Council's vision for a more just and sustainable region.

Research Coordinator
Diana is a researcher, communications expert, activist, and social entrepreneur. She has worked nationally and internationally. leading research and community development initiatives aimed at changing the policy context and providing critical evidence on the ground to make a more just and sustainable society. She has also co-founded several successful mission-driven enterprises. 
She is a Research Advisor to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and a Distinguished Research Fellow of the University of Alberta's Parkland Institute.
Barry is a professional accountant who has worked in private healthcare and the provincial gov’t for 30 years in various management roles such as Manager of Finance and Manager of Operations for Aboriginal Affairs and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Barry has also have served on numerous boards including Breast Cancer Foundation and the Construction Association.
Chelsea has a background in nursing and a Masters in Public Health. Her interestes lie in social determinants of health and participatory action research.
She has published with the Council on food systems metrics, and led community engagement.

Annalea has a Masters in Sociology and specializes in Community Development. She has worked with the Council on delivering the Greater Victoria Youth Program Quality Initiative to youth serving organizations in the region and conducting research on various social issues (e.g., BC Capital Region Resource RecoveryLabour Market Partnership, Youth Employment Roundtable, Homelessness Point-in-TimeCount) and program evaluations (e.g., Ready to Rent). Virginie has worked in the non-profit sector, in France, Quebec and BC. She is trained in social work. Her focus has been on program coordination in the field of food accessibility and durability: food banks, community vegetable markets, and garden share networks.  Taryn is a fourth year Social Work student at the University of Victoria. She worked with the Council on the 2017 Point in Time Homeless Count and wil be a key part of the 2020 team.
